QuFe10Cr TIG Welding Wire – Mould Steel CrMo, Heat-Resistant to 570 °C

QuFe10Cr is the CrMo-alloyed variant for highly stressed mould cavities in the tempered materials 1.2311, 1.2312, 1.2162, 1.2738, 1.2764 and 1.2767. The chromium content in the filler raises tensile strength, cutting-edge retention and wear resistance. Suitable for long-term service up to 570 °C. Standard: EN ISO 21952-A G/W CrMo1Si · AWS A5.28 ~ER80-SB2 (material no. 1.7339). Achievable hardness: 27–38 HRC.

  • 1.2311, 1.2312, 1.2162, 1.2738, 1.2764, 1.2767 — tempered mould steels
  • 42CrMo4, AISI 4140, AISI 4130 — quenched and tempered steels
  • 25CrMo4, 13CrMo4-4, GS-17CrMo5-5 — creep-resistant CrMo steels

  • Highly stressed mould cavities with contour wear
  • Repair of 42CrMo4 / AISI 4140 components
  • Heat-resistant long-term service up to 570 °C
  • Cutting edges and parting lines with higher service-life demands
  • Build-up welding on creep-resistant CrMo steels

Properties and advantages

  • Achievable hardness 27–38 HRC — depending on machining and weld layers
  • Chromium raises tensile strength, cutting-edge retention and wear resistance compared with the standard mould-steel wire
  • Long-term service temperature up to 570 °C
  • Weld metal: Re > 480 MPa · Rm > 570 MPa · A > 22 %
  • Post-processing: EDM-machinable, texturable, polishable, chrome-platable, etchable, nitridable, hardenable

TIG advantage: For larger build-ups away from the laser — Ø 1.0–2.4 mm, considerably higher deposition per layer.

TIG form: for manual repair welding.
