QuMed4551 is a niobium-stabilized stainless steel laser welding wire to EN ISO 14343-A G/W 19 9 Nb Si / AWS A5.9 ER347Si (material no. 1.4551). It is designed for corrosion-resistant joint and build-up welding on identical and similar stainless, heat-resistant and austenitic CrNi steels and cast steel grades — stainless and resistant to intergranular corrosion (wet corrosion up to 400 °C).
Recommended base materials
- 1.4301, 1.4303, 1.4306 — austenitic CrNi standard grades
- 1.4310, 1.4319 — high-strength CrNi spring steels
- 1.4541 — X6CrNiTi18-10 / AISI 321 (Ti-stabilized)
- 1.4550, 1.4552 — X6CrNiNb18-10 / AISI 347 (Nb-stabilized)
