QuBeCu25 Rod – Laser Welding Wire Beryllium Copper CuBe2 – Mould Making, High Thermal Conductivity
QuBeCu25 is the beryllium copper wire: DIN EN 1654 CW101C · CuBe2 / BeCu25 · material no. (old) 2.1247.
In mould making, beryllium copper is the material for a very particular combination of properties: high sliding properties, rapid heat transfer and high electrical conductivity — at strengths approaching steel (Rm 950–1150 MPa). Which is why it sits wherever heat has to be pulled out of the cavity quickly without the part going soft.
Safety note: the datasheet carries a dedicated field “Special note” stating “observe the safety data sheet”. Beryllium-bearing fumes and dust are hazardous to health — ensure effective extraction when welding and consult the safety data sheet.
Recommended base materials
