QuNi24 is a corrosion- and heat-resistant laser welding wire of the nickel-base superalloy Inconel 625 (base material 2.4856 / Alloy 625, UNS N06625; filler metal 2.4831 / ERNiCrMo-3 / EN ISO 18274 S Ni 6625). This NiCrMo alloy combines high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion with elevated-temperature strength up to around 1100 °C and cryogenic toughness down to −196 °C — ideal for the chemical process industry, offshore, exhaust systems and aerospace.

Recommended base materials

  • 2.4858 — Incoloy 825 (related NiFeCr alloy)
  • 1.4529, 1.4539, 1.4876 — high-alloy special stainless steels
  • Joining ferritic↔austenitic steels, build-up welding on steel

Properties and advantages

  • Outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion
  • Heat-resistant up to ~1100 °C and tough down to −196 °C; favourable creep values
  • Stress- and hot-crack safety, high fatigue strength (Mo/Nb in NiCr matrix)
  • All-weld metal: Re 500 N/mm², Rm 760 N/mm², A 35 %; filler metal ERNiCrMo-3
  • Good weldability with low heat input; shielding gas argon 4.6 or better

Rod form advantage: Ideal for manual build-up and repair welding with constant wire feed — also for hard-to-reach areas in chemical and plant components.

Rod form: Rod lengths 1000 mm and 333 mm, Ø 0,2 mm – 0,8 mm.
