QuFe19 Rod – Laser Welding Wire Heat-Resistant 12 % Cr Steel 1.4922 / 1.4923 – up to 650 °C
QuFe19 Rod – Laser Welding Wire Heat-Resistant 12 % Cr Steel 1.4922 / 1.4923 – up to 650 °C
QuFe19 is the repair wire for heat-resistant, temperable 12 % Cr steels: DIN EN ISO 21952-A G/W CrMoWV12Si · AWS A5.9 ~ER505 · filler material no. 1.4937. Service temperature up to 650 °C.
It is matching to base materials 1.4922, 1.4923 and 1.4935 — the steels of turbine, boiler and power plant construction. The weld metal is temperable and hardenable (45–48 HRC) and can be textured, polished and chrome-plated. Mind the heat control: the material is martensitic, so pre-heating and controlled cooling are part of the process.
Recommended base materials
- 1.4922 (X20CrMoV11-1), 1.4923 (X22CrMoV12-1)
- 1.4935, 1.4926
- 1.4913, 1.4931
- Matching and similar heat-resistant 12 % Cr steels
Typical applications
- Modifications and repairs on heat-resistant 12 % Cr components
- Turbine and power plant construction
- Components with service temperature up to 650 °C
- Tools whose weld metal is later textured or chrome-plated
