QuFe15 Rod – Laser Welding Wire Mould Steel CrMo2 / ER90S-B3 (1.7384)
QuFe15 is a CrMo2-alloyed filler metal for modifying and repairing mould cavities in the tempered materials 1.2311, 1.2312, 1.2162, 1.2738, 1.2764 and 1.2767. Standard: EN ISO 21952-A G/W ~CrMo 2 Si · AWS SFA-5.28 ER90S-B3 (material no. 1.7384). Achievable hardness: 28–37 HRC.
When QuFe15 instead of QuFe10? The datasheet explicitly names QuFe15 as an alternative to QuFe10 / QuFe10Cr / QuFe10NiMo — because of its different reaction to etchants and acids. Wherever a grain pattern or photo-etch has to run across the repair and the weld metal of the other wires stays visible in the etched surface, QuFe15 provides the matching etching behaviour.

- Alternative when the etched appearance of QuFe10 / QuFe10Cr / QuFe10NiMo does not match
