QuFe13 Rod – Laser welding wire 1.2343 / 1.2344

QuFe13 Rod – Laser welding wire 1.2343 / 1.2344

QuFe13 is the welding filler from quada for highly stressed hot-work tools. The alloy is used wherever tools or moulds face combined mechanical, thermal and abrasive load — for example aluminium die casting moulds, plastic injection moulds and hot stamping tools.

Recommended base materials

  • 1.2343 — X37CrMoV5-1 (primary material)
  • 1.2344 — X40CrMoV5-1
  • 1.2367 — X38CrMoV5-3
  • 1.2082, 1.2083 — plastic mould steels
  • 1.2606 — special alloy

Typical applications

  • Aluminium die casting moulds
  • Plastic injection moulds
  • Hot stamping tools
  • Repair and build-up welding on hot-work tools

Properties and advantages

  • Achievable hardness: 42–46 HRC
  • Crack-free even on multi-layer welding
  • Resistant to corrosive plastics
  • Conditionally hardenable, machined with carbide tools

Rod form advantage: Ideal for manual build-up welding with constant wire feed — also for repair sites that are hard to access.

Rod form: Rod lengths 1000 mm and 333 mm, Ø 0,2 mm – 0,8 mm.
