It is a hardfacing wire: the weld metal reaches 39–45 HRC straight from the welding process, without heat treatment.It is explicitly designed for single-layer welds. The molybdenum content of 1.2 % keeps the wear resistance intact at elevated temperatures — that is the difference from a plain Cr hardfacing wire. QuFe11 is a build-up wire for hot-work tools: DIN EN 14700 S Fe 13, filler material no. 1.2367. The weld metal reaches 38–42 HRC and combines hot-wear resistance with toughness.That combination is the whole point of this wire: components exposed at elevated temperature to impact, pressure and abrasion at the same time need weld metal that is not merely hard but also yields without cracking.
