Qu7734 is the laser welding wire for the special material 1.7734 / 15CDV6 — a heat-resistant, CrMoV-alloyed quenched and tempered steel used as an aerospace material in aviation, space, motorsport and defence. Welding rod / wire electrode for laser, MIG and TIG welding of chromium-molybdenum-vanadium quenched and tempered steels.

Its distinguishing feature is the combination of high strength and excellent weldability: unlike many high-strength quenched and tempered steels, 15CDV6 can be welded reliably and reaches a high tensile strength in the quenched and tempered condition. That is precisely why it is the material for rocket engines, extremely light and durable aircraft components and structures and motorsport chassis. 15CDV6 is the internationally used designation for 1.7734.
