Qu17-4PH is a precipitation-hardening, corrosion-resistant laser welding wire of the alloy 17-4PH (material 1.4542 / X5CrNiCuNb16-4, AISI 630). This martensitic chromium-nickel-copper steel combines high strength with good corrosion resistance — ideal for repair and build-up welding in tool and mould making as well as on pump, valve and shaft components.

QuNi40 TIG Welding Wire Nickel NiTi3 / ERNi-1 (2.4155), also Nickel-Steel & Grey Iron

QuNi40 is the titanium-alloyed nickel wire: EN ISO 18274 S Ni 2061 (NiTi3) · AWS A5.14 ERNi-1 · filler material no. 2.4155.The 3.3 % titanium is what sets it apart from the pure QuNi29. Titanium binds nitrogen and thus suppresses porosity — precisely what is needed for nickel-to-steel dissimilar joints and for repairs on grey cast iron (GG-GJL), where gases migrate from the base material into the weld pool. QuCu80 is the strongest of the three aluminium bronzes: EN ISO 24373 S Cu 6338 (CuMn13Al8Fe3Ni2) · AWS A5.7 ERCuMnNiAl · DIN 8555 MSG 31 GZ 200 · material no. 2.1367. The weld metal reaches 250 HB — Rm 650 MPa.Its home is mould inserts made of Ampco and Ampcoloy bronzes: these highly conductive tooling bronzes are used in die casting and plastic mould making because they dissipate heat quickly — and that is exactly where they crack and wear. Besides build-up and crack welding it suits cladding on cast iron and steel (e.g. drawing tools). QuCu82 TIG Welding Wire Silicon Bronze CuSi3 / ERCuSi-A (2.1461)

QuCu82 is the silicon bronze: EN ISO 24373 S Cu 6560 (CuSi3Mn1) · AWS A5.7 ERCuSi-A · material no. 2.1461. With 3 % silicon it is the stronger of quada's two silicon bronzes (80 HB, Rm 390 MPa).Silicon makes the weld pool more fluid and deoxidising — which is why these wires are the easiest entry into copper welding. They join copper, low-alloy copper alloys, brass (CuZn) and silicon bronzes, and can also be used for build-ups on steel and cast iron.
