QuMed4310 Rod – Stainless Laser Welding Wire 1.4310 (X10CrNi18-8) – Spring Steel
QuMed4310 is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy to DIN EN 10088 – 1.4310 (X10CrNi18-8). The material is the classic stainless spring steel: it work-hardens strongly under cold forming and thereby reaches the spring properties it is used for.
For repairs this means: QuMed4310 is the identical-type filler when a component made of 1.4310 has to be rebuilt. The weld metal is highly polishable and, at 45 % elongation, exceptionally tough.
Recommended base materials
- 1.4301 — the classic 18/8 CrNi steel
- Identical-type repair of 1.4310 components (springs, spring elements)
Typical applications
- Repairs to springs and spring elements made of 1.4310
- Components in 1.4301 that are subsequently polished
- Visible surfaces with high surface quality
Properties and advantages
- Very good polishability — the repair can be brought up to visible-surface quality
- Readily weldable, very tough: Re 400 MPa · Rm 710 MPa · A 45 %
- Stainless, austenitic
Rod form advantage: Ideal for manual build-up welding with constant wire feed — also in hard-to-reach areas.
Rod form: Rod lengths 1000 mm and 333 mm, Ø 0,5 mm – 0,5 mm.
