QuFe10NiMo Rod – Laser Welding Wire Fine-Grain Steel S690QL / High-Strength (ER100S-G)

QuFe10NiMo is the NiMo-alloyed variant for modifying and repairing mould cavities — and, thanks to its optimized corrosion resistance and service hardness, also the filler for joint welding on quenched and tempered fine-grain steels such as S690QL, N-A-XTRA and S700MC. Standard: EN ISO 16834-A G/S 69 4 M21 Mn3Ni1CrMo · AWS A5.28 ER100S-G · EN 12534 G 3 CrNi1 Mo. Achievable hardness: 27–38 HRC.

Recommended base materials

  • S550QL1 – S690QL1 — high-strength quenched and tempered fine-grain steels
  • N-A-XTRA 56, 63, 70
  • S700MC — thermomechanically rolled fine-grain steels
  • St. 50 – St. 70 — unalloyed structural steels
  • 1.2311, 1.2312, 1.2162, 1.2738, 1.2764, 1.2767 — tempered mould steels

  • Modification and repair of mould cavities

Properties and advantages

  • Achievable hardness 27–38 HRC — depending on machining and weld layers
  • Optimized corrosion resistance and service hardness thanks to Ni alloying
  • Approved for joint welding on tempered fine-grain steels
  • Post-processing: EDM-machinable, texturable, polishable, chrome-platable, etchable, nitridable, hardenable

Rod form advantage: Ideal for manual build-up welding with constant wire feed — also on joints that are hard to access.

Rod form: Rod lengths 1000 mm and 333 mm, Ø 0,2 mm – 0,8 mm.
