QuAl99,5 is the pure aluminium wire: EN ISO 18273 S Al 1070 (Al99.7) · AWS ER1070 · material no. 3.0259.
The high purity is not incidental here but the point: it provides the good chemical resistance for which pure aluminium is used in the first place — in plant engineering, chemistry and electrical engineering. As cast the deposit is soft (Rm 65 MPa); strength can be raised by cold working, not by heat treatment.
