QuNi71 Bobbin – Laser Welding Wire Inconel 718 / 2.4668 (Alloy 718 / UNS N07718)
QuNi71 is a high-temperature laser welding wire of the nickel-base superalloy Inconel 718 (material 2.4668 / Alloy 718, UNS N07718). This precipitation-hardening γ''/γ' alloy retains its strength up to around 700 °C and combines it with high oxidation and corrosion resistance — ideal for gas turbines, jet engines and hot components in aerospace.
Recommended base materials
- 2.4668 — Inconel 718 / Alloy 718 / UNS N07718 (primary material)
- Inconel 706 — related Nb-hardening 718 family
- Inconel X-750 — related precipitation-hardening Ni-Cr alloy
Typical applications
- Gas turbines and aero engines — blades, discs, casings
- Hot aerospace components up to ~700 °C
- Rocket and power generation technology
- Oil and gas production (sour, highly stressed media)
- Repair and build-up welding on 718 components
Properties and advantages
- High-temperature strength and creep resistance up to ~700 °C
- Precipitation-hardening (γ''-Ni₃Nb) — strength through solution annealing + ageing
- Good oxidation and corrosion resistance, also in sour media
- Good weldability with low hot-cracking tendency; shielding gas argon 4.6 or better
Bobbin form: K125, K250, K80, MA125, SH253 — wire weight 100 g–500 g, Ø 0,2 mm – 0,8 mm.
