QuFe30 TIG Welding Wire – Cold-Work Tool Steel 1.2379 / 1.2080 / 1.2436

QuFe30 is a high-alloy filler metal for repairing cold-work tool steels — primarily on press, punch and cutting tools. The tough-hard weld metal withstands high edge loads and offers excellent cutting-edge retention. Achievable hardness: 54–60 HRC, depending on machining and the number of weld layers. Also suitable for multi-layer welding. Standards: EN 14700 S Fe 8 · DIN 8555 M/WSG 6-GZ-60.

  • 1.2436 — X210CrW12

  • and similar ledeburitic cold-work tool steels

  • Repair of cutting tools and cutting edges
  • Punching tools and punches
  • Press tools and forming tools
  • Build-up welding on worn tool edges
  • Multi-layer build-up on heavily worn functional surfaces

TIG advantage: For manual repair welding of larger worn areas on press, punch and cutting tools — Ø 1.0–2.4 mm, considerably higher deposition per layer than with the laser.
