QuLPA-Ni52 Powder – Laser Cladding Powder Nickel Base (NiCrBSi) – 52 HRC, High Wear Protection
QuLPA-Ni52 Powder – Laser Cladding Powder Nickel Base (NiCrBSi) – 52 HRC, High Wear Protection
QuLPA-Ni52 is the harder self-fluxing nickel-base cladding powder of the NiCrBSi type for matching build-ups on nickel-base materials — also suitable for joining.
Compared with QuLPA-Ni42 (42 HRC), chromium (11.2 %) and boron (2.25 %) are raised: more hard chromium borides, hence 52 HRC and markedly more abrasive wear resistance. Silicon (3.8 %) keeps the powder self-fluxing. This is the choice when wear is the main load and the deposit may stand harder; for tougher, easily machined layers stay with Ni42. Grain size 45–150 µm.
Recommended base materials
- Nickel-base materials (matching build-up)
- components of the oil, gas and mining industry
- also suitable for joining
Typical applications
- higher-load wear protection on oil, gas and mining components
- matching repair on nickel-base steels
- laser metal deposition (LMD) of hard functional surfaces
Properties and advantages
- Self-fluxing (NiCrBSi) — clean wetting, good bonding
- 52 HRC — high abrasive wear resistance
- higher Cr and B content than QuLPA-Ni42
- grain size 45–150 µm
Powder form: grain size 45 - 150 µm — for laser metal deposition (LMD).
