QuLPA-Stell6 Powder – Laser Cladding Powder Cobalt Base – Matching Stellite 6, 41 HRC

QuLPA-Stell6 Powder – Laser Cladding Powder Cobalt Base – Matching Stellite 6, 41 HRC

QuLPA-Stell6 is the cobalt-base cladding powder (CoCrW), matching Stellite 6 — the universal standard among cobalt hardfacing alloys.

The cobalt matrix retains its hardness even at high temperatures (hot hardness) and resists friction, corrosion, cavitation and erosion. Chromium (28.5 %) provides corrosion protection and chromium carbides, tungsten (4.4 %) strengthens the matrix. At 41 HRC Stellite 6 is the all-rounder: the best balance of wear resistance, toughness and heat resistance. The harder, more abrasion-resistant sister grade is QuLPA-Stell12 (44 HRC). Grain size 45–150 µm.

Recommended base materials

  • universally applicable — steels, nickel and cobalt materials
  • parts with wear, corrosion and heat combined

Typical applications

  • valve seats and cones, sealing faces of fittings
  • hot-forming tools, hot shears, extruder parts
  • parts with high-temperature wear and cavitation

Properties and advantages

  • Hot hardness — hardness retained at high temperatures
  • resistant to wear, corrosion, cavitation, erosion
  • 41 HRC — the tough all-rounder of the cobalt-base range
  • grain size 45–150 µm

Powder form: grain size 45 - 150 µm — for laser metal deposition (LMD).
