QuNi29 Bobbin – Laser Welding Wire Pure Nickel Ni99.7 (2.4060) – Titanium-Free

QuNi29 Bobbin – Laser Welding Wire Pure Nickel Ni99.7 (2.4060) – Titanium-Free

QuNi29 is a pure nickel alloy Ni99.7Mg (material no. ~2.4060) for joint and build-up welding on commercial pure nickel grades, LC nickel, nickel alloys and nickel-clad steels.

The difference from QuNi40 is stated in the datasheet: this wire is pure nickel without titanium. Where the electrical and thermal conductivity of nickel matters, this is the right choice. Where dissimilar joints to steel or cast iron repairs are involved, use the titanium-alloyed QuNi40 — its titanium binds nitrogen and prevents porosity.

Recommended base materials

  • 2.4060, 2.4061, 2.4066, 2.4068
  • 2.4052, 2.4053
  • Commercial pure nickel grades, LC nickel
  • Nickel-clad steels

Typical applications
