QuFe13 TIG filler wire – 1.2343 / 1.2344 hot-work steel
QuFe13 TIG filler wire – 1.2343 / 1.2344 hot-work steel
QuFe13 is the welding filler from quada for highly stressed hot-work tools. The alloy is used wherever tools or moulds face combined mechanical, thermal and abrasive load — for example aluminium die casting moulds, plastic injection moulds and hot stamping tools.
Recommended base materials
- 1.2343 — X37CrMoV5-1 (primary material)
- 1.2344 — X40CrMoV5-1
- 1.2367 — X38CrMoV5-3
- 1.2082, 1.2083 — plastic mould steels
- 1.2606 — special alloy
Typical applications
- Aluminium die casting moulds
- Plastic injection moulds
- Hot stamping tools
- Repair and build-up welding on hot-work tools
Properties and advantages
- Achievable hardness: 42–46 HRC
- Crack-free even on multi-layer welding
- Resistant to corrosive plastics
- Conditionally hardenable, machined with carbide tools
TIG advantage: Ideal for manual repair and build-up welding using the Tungsten Inert Gas process — also for larger defects and hard-to-reach areas.
TIG form: for manual repair welding.
