QuFe60 Bobbin – Laser Welding Wire High-Speed Steel 1.3348 / M7 – 58–63 HRC, Cutting Tools
QuFe60 is the high-speed steel wire: DIN EN 14700 S Fe 4 · ~AISI M7 · DIN 8555 MSG 4-60-S · filler no. 1.3348. At 58–63 HRC it is the hardest matching wire for tool steels in the range.
It is made for the manufacture and repair of cutting tools — drills, milling cutters, broaches, turning tools — and for hardfacing wear-prone tool edges. The hardness comes from the carbide content (Mo 8.3 % · V 1.8 % · W 1.9 % · C 1.0 %). Per the datasheet the first layer stays crack-free even on very critical steels; preheating is nevertheless recommended.
Recommended base materials
- Per the datasheet particularly suited to 1.3316, 1.3333, 1.3344, 1.3346
