QuAlCu6 is the AlCu wire for higher-strength aluminium components: EN ISO 18273 S Al 2319 (AlCu6MnZrTi) · AWS ER2319. The datasheet explicitly names the aerospace industry as its field of use.
It is an age-hardenable alloy — the strength comes not from welding but from the subsequent heat treatment. Copper (6.3 %) carries it, zirconium and titanium refine the grain. Important, and the datasheet says so explicitly: do not use on 5xxx aluminium alloys (AlMg) — copper and magnesium do not get along in the weld.
