QuLPA-AlSi10Mg is the aluminium cladding powder: AlSi10Mg · material no. ~3.2823.

Silicon (9–11 %) makes the powder readily weldable, magnesium (0.2–0.45 %) makes it age-hardenable — per the datasheet a heat treatment following the T6 cycle is applicable. That is the point: the deposit can be brought up to strength afterwards (Rm 400 MPa · Rp0.2 230 MPa · A 7 %). The grain is spherical (−45 +15 µm) and therefore free-flowing — the precondition for even powder feeding.

  • Build-ups and welds on aluminium alloys with approx. 10 % Si
  • AlSi10Mg die castings

  • Repair of AlSi10Mg castings
  • Parts subsequently T6 heat treated
  • Laser metal deposition (LMD) on aluminium
