Qu4541 Rod – Stainless Steel Laser Welding Wire 1.4541 (X6CrNiTi18-10 / AISI 321)
Qu4541 is a titanium-stabilized stainless steel laser welding wire for heat-resistant apparatus and plant construction. The material 1.4541 (X6CrNiTi18-10 / AISI 321) combines the corrosion resistance of the CrNi austenites with reliable protection against intergranular corrosion through titanium stabilization — even in the sensitization range after welding, without solution annealing.
Recommended base materials
- 1.4541 — X6CrNiTi18-10 / AISI 321 (primary material)
- 1.4550, 1.4551 — X6CrNiNb18-10 / AISI 347 (Nb-stabilized, closely related)
- 1.4301, 1.4306 — austenitic CrNi standard grades
Typical applications
- Apparatus, vessel and plant construction (chemical, petrochemical)
- Heating, furnace and heat exchanger construction
- Exhaust systems and high-temperature components
- Components under thermal cyclic load
- Repair welding on similar stainless steels
Advantages of 1.4541
- Titanium stabilization prevents intergranular corrosion at weld seams
- Continuous service temperature up to approx. 800 °C
- Weldable without subsequent solution annealing
- Highly cold-formable, excellent work-hardening behavior
Rod form advantage: Ideal for manual build-up welding with constant wire feed — also for repair sites that are hard to access on heat-resistant components.
Rod form: Rod lengths 1000 mm and 333 mm, Ø 0,3 mm – 0,5 mm.
